There are many web-based email providers that you can use, but having an email with your own personal domain will give you more credibility if you have a company, for example, not to mention that with web-based services there are limitations on the size of the attachments that you can send or receive. If you use an email service that offers support for the IMAP and POP3 email delivery protocols, you will not run into such problems and you’ll be able to use any program on your PC to check your email messages, including Apple Mail, Outlook or Thunderbird. You can even set up a mailbox on your phone. The difference between the two email protocols is that with IMAP, an email message is displayed locally at your end, but remains on the email server, whereas with POP3, the message is downloaded on your PC, unless you configure the program in such a way as to keep a copy on the server.

POP3 IMAP E-mail Accounts in Shared Web Hosting

With a shared web hosting from our company, you will be able to use any device and any email software app to view your email messages. We support the IMAP and POP3 protocols, so you can opt for either one of them when you configure an email account in accordance with your own preferences. To make things easier, you can download a small-sized configuration file from your Control Panel’s Email Manager section for each mailbox that you set up. You can automatically set up the latter with your chosen app by simply running that file on your PC. This option is an alternative to our webmail and the two email services complement each other, so if you create a folder in Outlook, for example, it will appear both in the webmail and on any computer where the given email account is set up.

POP3 IMAP E-mail Accounts in Semi-dedicated Servers

You can choose between the IMAP and the POP3 email protocols in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with us. We support both of them, so you can choose what to do with your messages – to store them on your PC or to leave them on the server and to view them from different devices. The latter option will also enable different people to access the same mailbox – if you are hosting a corporate site on our servers, for example. You can find auto-config files in the Email Manager section of our Hepsia hosting Control Panel, which will permit you to set up everything automatically in an email client of your choosing – Apple Mail, Outlook or Thunderbird, so you will not need to fine-tune any settings manually. If you’ve got a mobile phone, you can add any email account just as easily – simply read our in-depth tutorials for iPhone and Android.
